Geeks!

You know when you see a film and end up bitching about a teeny detail that doesn't matter at all. You ain't got nothing on this snippet from a review of The Italian Job (2003):

But my biggest problem with the whole film was the way they used the engine note from inline 4 cylinder motorbikes when the bikes being ridden were Vtwin (the Ducati ridden by napster) or BMW boxer motors ridden by the security guys

Someone once commented that one of my photos of a Viking village reconstruction was wrong because there was a sycamore tree in the background of the shot - apparently sycamores are an introduced, not native species....

The biggest complaint I have about The Italian Job is it's not set in Italy (mostly), has a completely new plot, and has very few of the original characters in it.

I've actually met Jamie a few times - he *is* that scary in real life.

You should see the posts he puts into the Computer Club discussion group....

believe me, that is (if you are a biker)

a) glaringly obvious
b) just plain wrong [and probably immoral to boot :-) ]

Half the attraction of Ducatis is the glorious noise. Beemers also have a very distinctive note. (curiously, BMWs are the bike equivalent of Volvos)
