This article was the first time I became aware of The Last Duel's existence. so I'm not so sure about the marketing strategy.

Me too! I don't recall seeing that title anywhere, especially not on the local marquee.

I do think holding this one six months or so would have benefited it, I am in the target demographic, it sounds like exactly the sort of movie I like, and I remain reluctant to go to live events and movie theaters.

I heard about it, thought "that sounds interesting" and read a couple of reviews and no no no. I do not need or want a film about rape. Extra fun bonus - we're doing a Rashomon and telling story from various viewpoint, so rape gets shown more than once.

"Uncomfortable subject matter", my arse.

And I am exactly the target audience for grown-up films without superheroes - looking forward to the French Dispatch and Never Gonna Snow Again.

But the trolley problem isn't "who is to blame?" The trolley problem is "what do you do?"

Was anyone seriously recommending the abolition of time zones? And if so, why?

The solutions I was told for the trolley problem were (a) find a way to derail the trolley; (b) find something to jam the wheels. The lesson was actually about not letting other people trap you into thinking your choices are only binary.

Loved the Claudia Black - James McAvoy story!
