Hate Crimes
“Increases in police recorded hate crime have been partly driven by general improvements in crime recording, better identification of what constitutes a hate crime by the police, and more victims coming forward.”
This may in fact be a good news story if the actual facts are that hate crimes have not risen but the proportion of hate crimes reported and then properly recorded has increased. If that were the case it would indicate that the police were serving the community better and that LGBTQ folks felt better able to report crimes against them which ought to lead to more convictions for hate crimes and fewer hate crimes in the long run.

I bet it thinks of the driver as part of the flock -- our geese would follow Mama around the property, then go back to within sight of the house once they were done hanging out at the shop or the garden. The (lady) goose was the explorer, and her husband followed her. After the gander was widowed, he'd follow Mama around like he used to follow the goose. Mama had to walk slowly because he had developed a foot disability.
