I've seen some commentary saying this goes way back to the start of the pandemic, when we didn't know what we were dealing with and ventilated people aggressively, and things may be better now. I don't know how much weight this carries.
Anecdotally I was not hospitalised, and fatigue aside I'm in no position 9 months later to return to the old data analysis job. I can't think things through like I used to.
