I rather fancy a garden hobbit, myself. Or a garden gargoyle. I saw a lovely limestone (some white stone, anyway) one in a stone-cutting workshop in the Parc Asterix a long, long time ago (the only theme park that I have really enjoyed, it was utterly charming, so glad that it's apparently still around), and was seriously tempted to have it shipped home. However, its weight, price and the fact that I did not at that stage have a garden dissuaded me. I have regretted it ever since.

I have a garden gargoyle, present 30 years back from a sib. It's stone, though the ones now for sale seem to be resin or concrete. Unfortunate Garden Statuary seems to be a thing Over Here.

What's really offensive about the attitude of the TERFs is encapsulated in this:

“Being pregnant, giving birth and breastfeeding are the only time in my life that I felt a proper awareness that I am female,” another woman wrote recently. “I don’t mean in a gender identity sense, I mean in a ‘I have a female body and am doing something only a person with a female body can ever do’ kind of sense.”

That certainly intends to exclude trans women. But it also just as firmly excludes any cis women who are physically unable to have children, which is a large number, and for those who very much want it is a matter of grief, a grief only exasperated by these TERFs telling them they're not 'real' women any more than trans-women are.

It also excludes those cis women who just haven't gotten around to having children yet, for whatever reason (too young, trying to finish their education, haven't found the right partner ...), or who just don't want children. That last category includes my own B. Don't tell her she's not a real woman, and don't tell trans-women that either, you hateful f'ers.
