I think it's always useful to be reminded that the various paramilitary groups in Northern Ireland are also criminal enterprises with a profit motive.

I think it significantly influences what they say and do.

Yeah, on top of the new border denting their drug smuggling, the Chief Constable of NI has apparently been cracking down on the Loyaltist drug gangs, which is a handy reason for inciting riots that get people calling for him to resign.

2. That is surprising...and I wonder how much ecological effect it will have.

3. I disagree re: mechanical HDs and purpose-built cameras because I use them now. I still see a value in and usage for those devices. We'll see how tech evolves, of course, regardless of what we expect and plan for.

Makes sense. You'd expect most train-supported routes wouldn't be worth flying on.
But it gives them a lowest level they can then ratchet if it works well.

I expect that is exactly the plan. Start at 2.5 hours, move to 3 in a few years time and so on.
