Wearing her out before bedtime.

I never encounter other parents out doing this. I assume their children aren't full of beans at 7pm.

My eldest would have a burst of energy before collapsing into slumber but it would be accompanied by crankiness, your photograph looks far sweeter! Mostly I'd try hardest to wear them out on layovers between flights; my youngest especially used to like to stand next to moving walkways and wave to everybody as they passed.

Oh yes, she gets that too. But that's usually right before, this was just her having lots of energy left two hours before bedtime.

We had a softplay that was open until 10pm, and we almost always had it entirely to ourselves...

I wonder why they stayed open so late if nobody used it!

It was in a leisure centre, so people were still turning up for the adult gym.
