A Feud in Wolf-Kink Erotica Raises a Deep Legal Question

"One would be the dominant alpha male. The other man would be a feminized omega" which, minus the pregnant part, is basically the seme/uke dynamic found in almost if not all yaoi and BL genres as well. Talk about well-used tropes :)

The online-community essays were very interesting, especially the one about transgressiveness as a communication filter. It has certainly been my personal and organisational experience that the harder a personal or institutional boundary is perceived to be, the less anyone tries to test it. Indeed, quite often the very act or willingness to test is already a good indicator that the person or organisation testing means funny business. On the other hand, in any situation where unusual flexibility has been shown, one can expect to be inundated with demands to be the next special case.

Essays - the one on transgressiveness made for a particularly interesting read in the light of recent political events indicating that the country is being run by a gigantic Fred.

Thinking about the wolf-kink erotica (and I don't thank you for making that happen) I think about books like Billy Bunter, Mallory Towers, Mike and Psmith and so on - where there is a common pool of tropes and characters.

There is also a pattern of people attempting to weaponise legal concepts far beyond the policy intention of the legal concept. Eventually someone digs their heels in, a case gets appealled to the supreme court in the jurisdiction and the bench takes the opportunity to lay-out the law definatively and slap illegitimate weaponisers back in to line.
