Clearly, a lot of people in high places still believe that the power to inflict death by slow starvation is still a thing that they should have available to them to maintain their particular definition of "good order in society". Which, to my sadness and rage, has been a factual observation for some decades of many people besides myself.
That such beliefs are still held in high places remains disgusting.
