Battery charging fault, apparently https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-48094801

The local angle for us is that Cambridge Consultants had a hand in the engineering. I kind of wonder if using lead acid instead of lithium batteries would have been a better safety / performance tradeoffs...

The people currently running the Royal Canadian Legion, last I read, would still agree with Minister Mercer's argument. But they also hold a trademark on the classic Remembrance Poppy's look with an eye towards keeping their Poppy Fund operations going.

Mordor article says: "Historians agree that Sauron should have instead sought a strong political and economic partnership with Rohan, thus giving Mordor’s armies a steady supply of horses."

That's either ironic or ignorant, because the Rohirrim say in the book that Mordor asked to buy horses from them, but the Rohirrim refused, expecting that the beasts would not be treated well over there.

Instacart: this does not surprise me. Shoppers have seemed increasingly harried and hurried. And just on general principle. I'll be calling them.
