My inner teenager applauds the juxtaposition of “Pornhub wants to buy Tumblr and restore site to former porn-filled glory” and “Beavers given protected status in Scotland”.

Re: the Mesopotamian baby crying. After I became a parent, it boggled my mind that the human race has continued on so long. Crying babies seem like they would have been bred out years ago. And yet. Here we are.

How to Calm a Crying Baby Like a Mesopotamian

The article is a bit odd - Mesopotamia is a specific geographical region that hosted a number of civilisations over 2-3,000 years. It's a bit like saying "how the Europeans calmed their crying kids" when Europeans includes the Greeks, the Romans, the Hapsburgs and all the modern countries of Europe. If they'd just said Babylonians I wouldn't have had a problem. [edited for spelling]
