The nursing home that my father and grandmother both passed away in made a point of celebrating Pride week every year, with flags in the common areas. The home was in a remote rural area in one of Canada's less LGBTIQ2SA-friendly provinces. Of course, that's just one week a year, and does not mean people would feel safe being out.
