If I can just say to all the nice people who read your blog- if you haven't filled in the government survey on trans and non binary law, please, please, please do so! :o)

I remember what it was like to be an unperson legally-one with no rights in either gender. The present law is a vast improvement on that (I was involved in getting in into law) but it now looks horribly dated and restrictive.

What would you like us to say?

Be nice to us! :o)

It's a classic fill in the boxes sort of affair.

Hope I would be nice! To be a bit more precise: are there particular recommendations that would be helpful, or is it just a matter of navigating the territory and giving answers that support inclusion and self-determination?

The overwhelming majority of people are, thankfully! :o)

The way the survey is set up, I suspect the latter is the easiest way to go, especially as one can be sure that the usual suspect haters will be doing exactly the opposite.

There's also a somewhat shortened version of the survey on the Stonewall site for those who have a bit less time to spend.

No problem, I'd been meaning to do it since I realized it was the Scottish one I'd already done so this reminded me to get on with it too! And thanks, it's good to feel up to commenting rather than just lurking.

I hope the positive trend continues and intensifies.

The results that I've read looked pretty positive so hopefully we'll get good new legislation out of it. Handily I think it predated the hate brigade getting into full swing :/

Did you notice here on our mutual friend's blog that the TERF contingent are taking payment from US far right Christianists and anti abortion groups?

Feminists who truly believe in the binary and that biology is destiny.

Oh, the irony! :o/

I'd seen it on Twitter already. It's certainly a toxic mess, I'm sure there must be people involved who'd be horrified to know who they are being manipulated by but given the narrative they're buying into I'm struggling to feel much sympathy.

It's a goddamn shame there's no legal way of inventing safe recreational drugs.

It's interesting that the article about Carlsberg getting rid of plastic rings talked purely about sustainability and pollution, and didn't mention at all the problem about the damage to wildlife. Supposedly this is less of a problem these days, but still: before we knew about global warming that would have been the main story.

That's weird.
Lyrica is a hell of a drug, patient adherence rate is stupid low since the side effect rate is so high.
"Those who tend to misuse pregabalin are also likely to be misusing opioids such as heroin or morphine as the drug enhances the effects of other substances."
And that's how you die. Not from Lyrica or Gabapentin.
