That article on life span boils down to “People historically lived nearly as long as we do now, except if they died first”, which seems like a kind of pointless observation.

Well yes, if you reduce several hundred words of interesting investigation into the various ways that lifespan has differed across different societies, genders, and classes to less than fifteen words you end up with a pointless observation.

I recommend not doing that.

Miner points out that sex offenders have a relatively low reoffense rate. That we know of! Given the low reporting rate and even lower investigation rate of sexual assaults, this is specious at best.
