Cambridge City Council had (I don't know if it still has) a trans councillor too.

The term ignorant bigot (ignorant of the law for one thing) just about works.

And again, if I'm not saying, how does she suppose she'll know? Oh yes! I'm seven foot tall and hairy of course!

That would be Sarah Brown, mentioned in the article, who also brought it to my attention on Twitter.

I met Sarah some years back but I wasn't sure if she was still on the council.

I believe that she was replaced by the awful person who just quit in a huff.

I would watch the Steven Moffat adaptation of The Time Traveller's Wife if instead of high fiving themselves the increasing number of Steven Moffats were kicking each other, hard, right in the forks.

The twitter abuser article was so damn depressing and not surprising. Although, kind of interesting to contrast that with Dylan Marron's "Conversations with People Who Hate Me" who tends to have more positive resolutions. I guess being a dude gets you even more points than being a woman, even if you're a QPOC. :/

I went looking for details of that Easy Travel Index, and the organisation's own website has basically nothing more than the article. There isn't even a promise of a full report to download; rather, they say they're going to release dribs and drabs from it from time to time. By which point people will have forgotten about the report, surely?
