Sarah Silverman says she's trying to process the fact that Louis C.K. is her dear friend who also did terrible things. What she doesn't say is whether she had any idea of these terrible deeds before the recent revelation. I mean, according to the article her video is embedded in, there have been rumors for years, and one of the women he masturbated in front of was Silverman's sister. Did she not know anything about this? Or - which wouldn't surprise me given Silverman's own tastes in comedy - did she not think there was anything wrong about that?

One of my people-watching hobbies is to notice the ways that mothers address their children in grocery stores. Some of them are frazzled, and snap angrily at the kids for being just vaguely irritating, even if the kid hasn't done anything actually wrong. And I think, "Poor kid."

(What about fathers? Well, I don't often see fathers with children in the grocery store. And when I do, the kids are usually asking Dad questions, e.g. who are those celebrities on the magazine covers in the checkout line?, and it's interesting to hear Dad's answers.)

... yeah, the line breaks on my phone made that headline look more dramatic than it needed to ...
