Sana, Anna and Khi joined me and Erin for Cube, which was as tense as I remember (although the dialogue was slightly clunkier than I recall. I suspect the first time round I didn't noticed as I was far too busy remembering to breathe).

Then Sana left (she said she had to be up early, but as she's still online her excuse now sounds a tad feeble) and we watched Quills. Wonderful stuff - Geoffrey Rush is truly demonic and Michael Caine, Kate Winslet and Joachim Phoenix all give fantastic performances, even if the ending is a tad weak.

Definitely a good evening. It's so nice to relax with friends.

I hear it's pretty much the same only with more beautiful maths.

Of course the perso nthat told me that is impressed by maths, but can't do it themselves, so mathematicians might be put off. I dunno :->

Cube 2's less about the first's traps and so on, and more about this impossible 'other-dimensional' structure. It's not terrific but is worth seeing for some fun ideas.
