One could re-title Andrew Rilston's article Unelectable Man Not Elected As Predicted and it would still be a fair reflection of what happened.

I've read his article twice, once via Feedly and once here and each time I find myself disagreeing with it more. I'm going to stop reading it before I find myself with an irresistable urge to drive down to Bristol, track him down to the Colston Hall and ask him with a slightly raised voice "What? Really?"

Probably all the Labour Party had to do to be in government by Christmas was say, "The results of the election are a bit unclear, we're going to take a bit of time to reflect on our approach to Brexit" and then sit down, shut up, other than to keep calling for May to resign.

Best line in Rilstone's article:

"New Labour is dead and no-one is going to mourn it. Well, one person is, but he's very rich and will get over it."
