Videos
Attention people of Edinburgh. At least, those people of Edinburgh who I know :->
I fancy having a weekly video evening, where we sit down and watch a video chosen by someone (on a rotating basis seems the best way to do it). Having checked with a couple of people Wednesdays and Fridays seem like the two best days. It'd be at my place unless someone else has a better suggestion.
If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment with them.

Of course, you'd have to bring the hubby with you...
An idea
Some friends and I started "Samurai Night" watching Akira Kurosawa films which is starting to take on a life of its own. After we do the big ones like Yojimbo, Throne of Blood, and The Hidden Fortress, we are going to watch the films that Hollywood made based on these ones (sometimes loosely, sometimes literally) which would be A Fist Full of Dollars, Macbeth (he also did King Lear as Ran) and Star Wars.
After all this I want to have each film relate in some strange, even tenuous way, with the previous film.
We'll see how it goes.
Cheers.
(oh, try watching Emma and Clueless back to back.)
