I'm honestly amazed anybody still pays for porn.

I think the market just got over-saturated, so to speak, and as with any market for goods that is crammed with product, prices crash.

... there's really no way I can talk about this subject without sounding filthy, I shall just stop now. :)

Didn't it come out a while ago that one of the big porn companies actually owns or somehow otherwise runs a lot of the -tube sites on the quiet, with clips from both their films/sites and those of other companies, so they get all the ad revenue?

If you want particularly specialised porn (whether specialised in terms of kink, or a particular porn star) and it's something slightly away from the mainstream, you may well still be easier paying for it rather than torrenting.

For certain genres/niches/fetishes, the market is certainly saturated though.
