God, planning to introduce Cerebus to a new generation, I thought that loony (Dave Sim) had long ago imploded into his own misogynistic singularity. I suppose it was certianly interesting, wonder if they'll re-publish the letters pages (which were really quite something).
From a comics history point of view, few people were as wildly inventive, creative, and constantly pushing what you can do in a comic as Sim was.
Personally, I'd cut out the text bits from Reads, and then stop the book at issue 200, but the sheer breadth of imagination and the quality of the work up until that point stands with anything else ever produced in the medium.
