the poor will have access to the books that everyone else is getting rid of. But they do dig the electronics.

For a while. Until all remnant dead tree books break down & what's left are expensive collectibles. Hopefully by then, there are accessible alternatives for 'the poor'.

OTOH, vinyl & CD are still out there & available. So this process might take a while. [Insert obligatory William Gibson quote here]
