Ow, my head

Just did the IQ test that the BBC used for their "Test the Nation" show and scored 130, which will do me just fine, especially the way I feel right now.

You can take a look here. The averages IQ by salary is particularly amusing.

Oh, good lord - just checked the "age adjustment tables" and it turns out I couldn't have scored over 137 (which is where my results usually place me). If you take a look here and I tell you that I scored 63/70 that it's just not feasible for me to score as well as people who are older or younger than me.

ugh, I hate iq tests. I always feel so stupid afterwards. No big suprises for me. Zoomed through logic, language and short-medium term memory.

Fell flat on my face on perception and numbers :p Stereotypical female that I am.

Also, I forgot to mention, the one thing I disliked greatly was that I lost whole questions by clicking in the second after the time limit elapsed, thereby most likely clicking on the wrong answer for that one too. There should have been a buffer.

gah. i got the same score as you. and i'm not even sick or recovering. having those time limits is stresssfull. gah.

the first part nearly stumped me, about which BBC region i'm from, and which city is nearest to me... definitely not geared towards non-brits. especially with that question about june or jan being warmer. maybe i've skewed their results now, having chosen the West region and Belfast... they should have planned for some non-Brits taking their test.

i can understand them giving older people higher scores, as perhaps they would be less dexterous/less speedy on their clicks. Not sure about why the younger ones get higher scores though, too.

heh. yeah, the smartest people know how to live without earning money.

sheesh. now sulking elefants, tiny cats, tattered dresses, etc are imprinted in my brain.

I also got a 130, which makes me suspicious that that's the only result they give;). And, agh, I lost questions too by clicking a second too late. Most annoying.

Nah - I got 133! Nah nah. ;+)

I would also be fascinated to hear/see the logic behind the age adjustment....

Me too. Strikes me as a little strange, where the Beeb is clearly trying to split IQ results by various demographics, that they've pre-decided on probably the most important one - how age affects IQ.

Re-read this post. That test must have screwed with your brain; your grammar is atrocious.
