Aieee! My brain!

Usually I am immune to the misrepresentation of computers in TV shows.

But when you have something so stupid that anyone who has ever used a _typewriter_ should spot how ridiculously implausibly wrong it is, I just had to share.

From, which I found via [livejournal.com profile] draxar.

Real-world dual input situation: When an Airbus is in 'Alternate Law' control mode (i.e. the Flight Control System is confused enough that it has turned a lot of the automation OFF e.g. flight AF447 mid-Atlantic in a storm with faulty input devices), the pilots' inputs with the joysticks are ADDED together. So when the 'Pilot Non-flying' 'helps' the 'Pilot Flying' (rather than monitoring etc as intended), things get interesting. It may be what you want ("nose up lots, fast"), or it just might add to the confusion.
