Yup. I wanted Labour to make more of a difference than they did, and I'm currently on the lookout for explanations of why they didn't.
The lack of selling themselves seems to be a big one - not getting the public onside and challenging the right-wing newspapers view of the world, but instead basically feeling they had to hide whatever they were doing.
That ending bit of letting each voter distribute public money to parties as they see fit is actually a really neat idea. It would allow room for new parties forming (local petition to donate to party x), and make finance much fairer (the lib dems getting pitfully less than other parties)
