I hope they inspect those before setting them off, because if an attacker who wanted to neutralize the bomb squad knew that's how they disposed of illegal fireworks...

It's kind of weird watching that as I lived in a town where a fireworks factory blew up in 1991. Apart from two people at the facility at the time there were no casualties. We didn't even really noticed it apart from the windows rattling a bit. Luckily the factory was at the edge of town so the damage wasn't as bad as could have been.

As proved years later when a similar factory located in the middle of a |different) town in the Netherlands blew up in 2000 and leveled a substantial portion of it, killing 23 and wounding 900 people and leaving 12500 homeless. The blast occurs 1:50 into the video, which was made by a local journalist.
