I had this documentary pointed out to me by numerous people. It's a fascinating look at how the world's financial and political systems were affected by ideology, computers, and Ayn Rand.

It's simplified, obviously, but I agree with all of the major points. Absolutely fascinating. I'm very grateful to the BBC for producing stuff like this.

I wanted to watch that last night but, being down at the Boss's place, we were subjected to his missus' TV preferences so it was soaps and Super Size Ambulance! I could feel the brain cells throwing themselves against the inside of my skull in a suicidal mass-protest.

At least there's iPlayer.
