Children Versus Aliens: US vs UK edition

So, what _would_ happen if aliens landed in a South London housing estate?

and if one landed somewhere in Spielberg country?

The question, then, is which one looks like the most fun?

Heh, coincidentally I just saw the trailer for Attack The Block on Film 2011 and it looks pretty good (especially as it has Nick Frost in it and is directed by Joe Cornish)

My vote's for Attack The Block. It's "grittier" and looks less predictable than Super 8 to me.

Super8, unless its a very clever satire, looks like a tiresome film with rather serious faced children in its lead.

Super 8 looks like a brat/alien action movie by numbers.

Attack the Block looks awesome.

I was really tempted by Attack The Block until I realised it wouldn't be as much like Skizz as I want it to be.
