Meh, we now have the complete saga in a format I can appreciate that doesn't wind me up.

Lego Star Wars complete, on the Wii.

I can kill Jar Jar as often as I like, and still get an idea of the plot. Still haven't seen 2 or 3. Will play them through properly soon.

If it wasn't a fact that these are going to be the Special Editions I wouldn't have a problem with this.

A real decent Blu-Ray copy of Star Wars and Empire with the original scenes and the original stereo mix is something I'd be happy to pay money for.

But, I'm not laying down cash, again, just to end up screaming "Han shot first!" at the fucking screen.

Impressed at the truth-in-advertising thing from Vader at the end: "There's no escape."

Star Wars fans seriously need to stop enabling this abuser by purchasing his products. :)

It's pretty sad that someone who was, in their day, really good, has then spent half their career desperately riding on old glories and failing to do anything new. I mean, there are plenty of things I don't like about James Cameron, but at least he hopefully isn't planning to just spend the next two decades re-releasing Avatar over and over.

Rutger Hauer admits that his shit films don't matter because goddamit, he was in Blade Runner and he knows it was his finest hour, but he still goes on making the other films.

I don't actually own any of the star wars films on dvd, come to think of it. I bought two of the special editions on video and felt pretty ripped off with one of them. It's probably cheaper just to wait to the inevitable cinema rerelease when they're converted to immersive smell-o-3d-o-imax-aplexoscope in another few years.
