I wonder if I'll like this more as TV than I did in book form



(I tried the book, got about 50 pages in, and decided that there were going to be an awful lot of unpleasant people, connected in complicated ways, doing morally dubious things, and my brain wasn't going to be able to hold it all together well enough to actually enjoy it.)

That might almost be to his advantage in Boromir: if he's supposed to be a good guy corrupted through great misfortune, it's a lot more tragic, but if he seems a second-string creepy Aragorn from the start, there's less impact. *shrug*
