Amazonian spam

I've had two spam of a new variant today - claiming to tell me that I've cancelled an Amazon order that I never made. The links, of course, don't lead to Amazon.

Anyone else getting these?

And is there any way for me to tell that the links don't go where they appear to on an Android phone?

I had a spate of those a few weeks ago. Seem to have stopped for me now.

I had one the other day. Comic Sans typeface, email address that had zip to do with Amazon, and oddly enough, my only outstanding amazon order had just arrived ...

Yeah, I just got one too. *shrug* They happen now and then.

In the Mail app: I didn't find one in ~10secs of looking. That seems like an oversight.
In the GMail app: hold on the link, it will pop up the full correct URL and an option to copy it to clipboard.

The official mail app, (that K9 is a spur off of), supports IMAP since Froyo. It also seems to expand every URL in situ.

I got one purporting to be a flight booking confirmation from $AIRLINE, which made me look twice because I have recently flown with them and I did wonder if someone had hacked my booking details. But it was so amateurish I quickly realised it was bogus.

I got one for an Apple Store item...

Heard that the ultimate spam is now here:
Fake "we tried to deliver but you were out" postcards that have a very expensive phone number on them.

That's got to be very labour intensive to deliver!

... Unless you can get them delivered via Royal Mail WalkSort ...

Oh dear.

I got this to my work account, which is insane because I use it for nothing other than government websites!
