Green Lantern is the one I'm looking forward to least. Source Code looks like the one that will be either excellent or a complete mess. If they actually go for the "he can save her, despite her only existing inside a recording" ending then I might have to punch myself repeatedly in the head until amnesia sets in.

Well said. I think the only hope of the film being good is if the protagonist comes to terms with the woman he meets being nothing more than the recording of someone who died. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that in a US film, and it could be pretty powerful. If it was almost any other director, I'd assume that the chances of this being true were on the order of 0.01%, with this director, I'd bet more like 33%.
That didn't happen with Moon, so there is some hope. I hadn't known that was the reason that the end of I Am Legend was changed from interesting to sucky.
Given the title, it's either a recording, or it's a 'we're all in the Matrix' scenario, I think. I don't like the idea of saving her in the first case, and the second case regardless. It looks great visually, but I'm also thinking it probably owes a lot to Seven Days. And Groundhog Day of course.

Wait, wasn't that the plot of Moon as well? Not saying that this is bad, just that some directors have repeating themes.

The ending of Scott Pilgrim was changed after focus groups disagreed with the original ending.
Chances are, if the director films a smart ending, focus groups will override the director.
