My understanding is that keeping weight off for a year isn't particularly notable, that most of the people who keep the weight off for a year still manage to gain it all back in a 2-5 year period.
Also, I don't know if this study is a victim of poor science journalism, but I just don't have any patience for all the BMI-fetishizing obesity epidemic we're all doomed blah blah blah whatever anymore.
