Jim Watts story - Scary stuff. It's not so much that he could be innocent - I mean, that's awful but equally, maybe he did it. It's the fact that the conviction seems so unsafe. The idea that he could be put away for so long on such controversial evidence is quite terrifying. Also, it's interesting how this matches up against rape cases involving women who can be trusted to understand the evidence they're giving...

Flattr, on the surface of it, sounds awesome. I really hope it takes off.

The BBC news article implies that they opposed it then, but are no longer opposing it now. Or, if they are not, they are silent.
