Thinking 'bout the future
This is from a discussion with Erin (I've taken to making copies when I accidentally say something worth noting)
Clarifying things about the way I think - I don't really care about the past very much. People do things and say things and events happen, and some I enjoy and some I don't. But it's making sure that things are fun and groovy from this point forward that really matters to me.
So if there were problems in the past, sure I want to learn from them, but I don't believe in holding onto them and turning them over and over and holding them against people unless they are going to help me have a better time from here onwards.
This may explain some of my strange and wacky attitudes towards arguments, relationships and general coping strategies.

i'll be damned
i think this thing we do with the past is very annoying for other people, especially the score keepers.
once you think about it though it is the only way to really be, for now, i think.
fun and groovy, i like that , i like that a lot.
We'll all be damned together
One of the reasons I publish my journal in public is in the vague hope that somewhere out there is someone who, while killing time, idly surf past my journal and say "Wow, here's someone I can empathise with. I should rescue from his lifetime of drudgery/get together with him and do cool stuff/kidnap him and take him to my home planet/email him info on how to Get Rich Quick."
Cheers for being one of those people.
Re: We'll all be damned together
you have no idea! i have wished to be able to do these things and if not then to at least be one of the kidnapped. communes and utopias aside, the idea of TAZs of really mellow and wise people that just want to create or enjoy other creations really appeals to me.
if you are ever on this side of the pond or vice versa we will indeed _have_ to do cool stuff.
yes, cheers.
