A fantastic result

The final results are in.

The Conservatives, UKIP and BNP have, between them, less than 20% of the vote.

Wait.  What do you mean you don't all live in Scotland?

Oh to live somewhere with a modicum of good voting sense, like (most of) Scotland seems to have. Or East Belfast*.

* - and it really, really does feel strange saying that! Strange, but simultaneously wonderful! :D

I would live in Scotland, but I'm not much good in a bar fight.

I have seen "Trainspotting." The dead baby on the ceiling freaked me out, and the "toilet diving" scene was pretty disgusting as well.

But I liked the film overall.

And mostly I was kidding. The film footage I've seen of Scotland looks beautiful. It's just not high up on my list of countries. (There are others I want to see much more first.)

it is such a shame that Britain isn't ruled by the Scots.

oh, wait....

I'm from North East England, where, for reference:

Labour 43.6% / 25 seats
Conservative 23.7% / 2 seats
Liberal Democrat 23.6% / 2 seats
BNP 4.4% / 0 seats
UKIP 2.7% / 0 seats

yeah.. hm.

I know, the BNP stats from down our way were a bit scary.
