Paris Je T'Aime

There are stories set in a world just like our own, and set in a world quite different to it.

Stories that we would recognise if we walked past them in the street and stories that reek of fantasy.

Stories about missed opportunities and long-gone regrets, stories about second chances and unlikely victories.

Stories by the famous and stories by people you've never heard of. Stories that make you giggle and stories that bring a tear to your eye.

There's the occasional dull story, but there's always another one along a few minutes later.

All of these stories revolve around love. Sometimes new love, sometimes old love, sometimes a love long gone. But always there, at the centre, there is love.

And Paris.

8/10

(16 short stories, set in Paris, about Love. In case you hadn't worked that out.)

Flat update

Due to solicitor screwup I won't get the keys to my flat until Monday. Am therefore spending the weekend roleplaying and drinking.

It's a hard life.

The Bastards

They made me drink!

Rob's stag do. Started at 11am with Serenity RPG. Carried on at 4pm when we hit our first pub. Finished at 10:30 when the group split into those going to a strip-joint and those not (with me falling into the 'not' camp).

Everyone had a good time, so far as I could tell. We made Rob drink far too much, shifted bars every half an hour, talked about everything from ERP to WH40k via anything else you care to think of, and felt thoroughtly ill after the tequila incident.*

And now I'm home, and going to collapse. Huzzah!

*We marched into a mexican restaurant, demanded 12 tequilas, licked salt off of our hands, downed the tequila in one, chewed on a lime, thanked the bar staff, and marched back out again.
