Comrades Rejoice, for the War is Over!

The War against Sex is over, and sex won..
The War against Drugs has likewise been a complete failure.

I have no idea how the War against Rock and Roll is going.

It was great to bump into both of those news stories in the last 48 hours.

An evening off - Andy style.

Going to see Curse of the Golden Flower at 8:30 at the Cineworld on Fountainbridge tomorrow (Tuesday). Any of you who can make it are welcome to join me.

I'll be there from 8:20 so as to get tickets and suchlike...

But what happens next?

It's terribly amusing to be confounded by my own behaviour. I resisted getting an iPod shuffle on the grounds that I wanted to be able to choose what album/track to listen to next. And yet, now I have a Nano with 6GB of music on it, I mostly listen to it by pressing Shuffle. I mean, sure, I do listen to whole albums or selected tracks from time to time, but mostly I hit shuffle and then skip tracks I'm not in the mood for.

Which just goes to show that consumers frequently _don't_ know what they want :->

Using polls to make a point is rarely good form, and will not win you any friends.

Before I retire to bed, having thoroughly enjoyed this evening's Heroes ("Six Months Earlier"), a quick question for the wisdom of the crowds.

I have a friend who works in a job closely connected to IT, checks their email about a hundred times a day, goes to SF conventions, chose their last phone largely on the quality of the email client and loves comics.
