My mobile contract runs out in July.  Short of a better Android phone coming out before then I strongly suspect that the newly announced HTC Desire will be my next phone.

Hmm. I'd been looking at the Nexus One (my contract runs out next month). Are there any obvious reasons I should be waiting for the Desire instead, except for the fabulous name?

Can't see any - the UI is HTCs own, and it's available through Orange (which is a big preference for me - I like getting my phones through the actual operator so there's no argument if there's a problem), but other than that it looks like a tweaked Nexus One.
