Cricket commentator for the Guardian Online section has a bad day. Spends most of this morning's report telling people about it, in between occasional reporting of the cricket.

Absolutely fantastic.

Dear heavens, that's both quite hilarious and rather bizarre, I'm assuming that either:

1) The writer was assigned to write something this wonderfully wacked or -

2) The writer simply got a bit odd wrote this and the editors decided it was amusing enough to publish.

I'm guessing 2, but one can never be certain.

The Guardian Online cricket scores occur during the match, so it would have happened as it went along. I believe they are supposed to have a chatty style to them, but not usually that much :->
