Don't let Julie see that Body Survey page, she'll be ranting about the godawful wording of some of the questions for ages (not to mention the lack of spell-checking, grammar or even any sort of sense in some places :)

15. which celebrity has the best?
32% said face
15% said Breasts
1% said arms
...

17. What surgery would you have (for those who said yes) ?
41% chose liposuction
5% chose gastic band
34% said breast enlargement
20% chose breast enlargement

WTF?

Oh there are loads throughout the entire thing. I just picked the two examples that stood out, never mind all the missing apostrophes and these:

"Do you knoe..."
"Which of these female celebrities have the bes body?" (2-for-1 there!)
"In a bid to lose weight, have you ever ... made yourslef sick ..."

*despairs for the state of the language and journalistic quality-control*

edited to fix my own grammar. Oops! :)

YEP! Already had internal rant.

Plus, do men really know what dress sizes are anyway?! I know some of my exes have gotten it very very wrong.

There is a forum somewhere on LJ, I think its called everydaybodies (not sure) so there is a collection of what normal people look like, because even the models don't look their sizes (imo). The size 16 could pass for a 12. BAH!

Given that it seems women can change two dress sizes by simply walking into the store next door and finding something cut in a different way, it's all kinda irrelevant anyway :)

2001: Pure genius! You owe me a new keyboard now that this one's covered in spluttered tea.

Where did they get the strangled elephant from, I wonder?

You can spin that body survey many ways.

e.g. The average wife/girlfriend is a smaller size than the average women, and the average husband/boyfriend is on balance more likely to want them to lose weight than gain weight. As the average woman wants to be a smaller size than the average man is willing to settle for, we can conclude that men are pressuring women to lose weight, and that women are responding to that pressure.
