Extracting a 3D face from a photograph

I think I might have had this one before, but it's still damned impressive.

Potentially sinister

Bet the CIA already have this.

Actually the faceGen stuff is pretty primitive compared to this stuff... The last time I'd checked you either had to generate a face by tweaking the (admittedly eigen vector based) sliders or by loading in a portait and frontal photo pair...

Still a cool piece of software though.

Oh, hai! Adam (from Absynth/R*) here. Hope I didn't bore ya with my rant at the club... Honestly, I'm not such a depressive git most of the time! :)

Having just read your last journal entry I reckon your outrage at the club was surprisingly muted. I hate office politics and Lionhead is, if not perfect, so much better than Rockstar. It makes me want to form a start up for disenfranchised developers. How their current carrot for a 15 year veteran can be a possibility of being made senior flabbergasts me. And I don't use that word lightly, it's hard to spell.

Well if you ever want to move hundreds of miles down south then I can put in a good word here, not that you'll need it. Let me know what you end up doing. My mail's mike at ducker dot org dot uk.

and surely this tech'll be converged with a future form of the Waseda-Docomo robot - then we won't have to wait for mimetic metal alloy to be invented before the terminators can lull us into a false sense of security before their deed is done.
