No way in hell to pick just one. You also missed Some Kind of Wonderful in the teen group (I think it deserves a spot, not an "other"). ;-)

I assume he also wrote Uncle Buck? Which I liked if only because it was an outlet for John Candy.

You made me pick between Bueller and the Breakfast Club. That's just cruel.

I have seen trailers for several of his films at the cinema, albeit without realising that he was the director. The one constant was that they made the films look dire, which is why I've never seen any.

Dutch. It is among my all time favorite movies.

I wouldn't channel flip past almost any of his movies though. He had a good touch with both entertainment *and* message.

At the time I *loved* "Pretty in Pink" but I saw it a few years ago and violently disagreed with so much of it. Doesn't stop Andrew McCarthy from being ridiculously pretty though (even if he is lacking in the chin dept). Sigh.

So very this! So, I think I'll go with _Some Kind of Wonderful_ even though it has issues too. But lots more pretty: Eric Stoltz, Mary Stuart Masterson, & Lea Thompson, not to mention Elias Koteas! Yeah, PiP also has Jon Cryer & Annie Potts... Oh, dear. Just going with the pretty doesn't work either....
