Further thoughts on Drag Me To Hell

I'd have been much happier with the ending if she'd been more deserving.  If she'd given the envelope to Stu, and then we'd gone to the next scene, with her waking up at home in bed, the voicemail from her boss telling her that she had the job, and then, when she discovers that she only gave Stu the coin, she'd deserve to be dragged to hell.

Discussing it with Julie, there's also an obvious sequel - the Psychologist, non-believer boyfriend at the end sees her dragged off to hell.  If I was him I'd be off to see the seer to find out how he can get his girlfriend _Back From Hell_.

Yes, most definitely! If it had been the case where the woman was just about to make the payments but just needed a few hours to get all the money together, and she'd then been refused, then perhaps it would have made a little more sense. Still not worth complete damnation though.

One of my friends who recently lost his job, and is therefore struggling to keep afloat financially, was taken to see the film by his other half and he was infuriated at how unfair it all was. He said that he doesn't care how in debt you are, so many people are in the same boat that why should one person get special treatment when others won't? And I do think he has a good point.
