Further thoughts on Drag Me To Hell

I'd have been much happier with the ending if she'd been more deserving.  If she'd given the envelope to Stu, and then we'd gone to the next scene, with her waking up at home in bed, the voicemail from her boss telling her that she had the job, and then, when she discovers that she only gave Stu the coin, she'd deserve to be dragged to hell.

Discussing it with Julie, there's also an obvious sequel - the Psychologist, non-believer boyfriend at the end sees her dragged off to hell.  If I was him I'd be off to see the seer to find out how he can get his girlfriend _Back From Hell_.

To be honest, I was biased against the entire film because she really didn't do anything so terrible...it's a good horror film as they go, but this is someone who didn't make payments on her house three times, and the protagonist did what anyone would probably do, and I'm sure there were plenty of other people who weren't well off and still kept up their payments. Yes she could have pushed a bit harder to give the old woman another chance, but is that really fair? It wasn't like she'd committed some appallingly heinous crime.
