Pro-war

In alignment with my wishy-washy, see-both-sides point of view, here's a letter to the Guardian in favour of war, written by an Iraqi ex-pat.

So let me get this straight:

Our governments impose some pretty nasty trade sanctions with the spoken goal of encouraging dissent and fostering a civil war. For this policy, we endure criticism when it comes out that the primary victims are children - possibly as many as 1 million dead in the last decade.

This guy leaves his country to set up his cushy little medical practice in yours, and gets pissed when citizens of both our countries protest against the idea of friends, family, and loved ones being used as cannon fodder for what should be his civil war?

Thank you, no.

After all, it's not as if the British and Americans let them get crushed the last time the Iraqis rose up against Saddam.
