I've now got to the point where, if someone jumps on me in another journal, I'll go see what their journal is like and try to decide whether they are likely to be worth engaging with.
In my journal, of course, I'm much worse at letting go :->
I am actually more likely to debate with people I don't know all that well but trust to be reasonable to some degree. My friends.... Their opinions are not going to change. But I hang with a pretty hard-headed bunch.
If someone is factually wrong then I'm happy to correct them, but I honestly could care less about debating on the internet. Talking about things where there's a common interest, fine, but screaming arguments.. pffft.

Someone on the internet is Right!
I'm sticking my productivity down the bog, and will read everything they've ever written!
And? The internet is _full_ of Right people. Who has the time to read with all of them?
