That and most folks "in the know" (so to speak) have been aware that, not only was Wakefields conduct unethical (conducting invasive surgical procedures on children without proper and due consent being obtained) but yes indeed his data was highly, highly dubious and his conclusions more so.
That the media is finally reporting this is probably a good thing and I suspect it has something to do with the popularity of a certain other doctors book...
