Getting it out of my head
Woke from a hungover sleep last night to find a few phrases in my head, and then spent half an hour trying to get them out again so I could get back to sleep. They felt uncomfortable to me, producing much the same effect that Michael Marshall Smith's short story "More Tomorrow" once had. In an attempt to get them out of my head, I'm sticking them here, under an LJ cut.

You wake into darkness, pulled by rhythmic movement.
You become aware what that movement is.
You try to scream.
You can't.

I got the dread thing last night though - waking up from a nightmare in which I'd failed to do Unspecified Work Things in time. Which is odd, as I'm ahead on everything :->
It's nice that my mind has finally caught up and stopped sending me messages that I've failed to go to my classes.
