Someone got a clue stick?

I'm not one to bash Microsoft (I use Windows most of the time and code in Visual Studio) - so you can take it that I'm not being biased when I say this is the most clueless interview I have _ever_ seen with someone who is supposed to be the public face of a product.

I read that as "oh, shit, I have a product that's totally indefensible and clearly rubbish. Balls. Balls balls balls. Arse. Balls. Erm..."

I think he'd lost it by that point and was taking the piss...

(Probably not. I agree, at that point I heard the low, mournful song of the Whale ... of Fail.)

That's possible I guess. I have that quote in my clipboard to come here and mock but I'll just join the conversation.

I don't think any of my handsets have lasted more than 18 months FFS. But then, my two most recent put the music on a separate memory card that's transferable anyway.

Why would anyone "choose" to use this service? Oh, wait, he said that, they have "loyal customers".

MS admits that the only people who'll use their service are clueless idiots and morons. FFS.

That was so amusing I must wonder if it was real.

Yes! I cannot believe that is not a windup.

Agreed!

"We don't actually give a shit. Microsoft customers will continue to buy what we offer them, either through ignorance or inertia, and they'll be happy to get it. We're Microsoft. Don't you realize that by now?"

Some organisations replace their head-of-mobile after only a year? I had no idea.

I agree.

Won't make an iota of difference to my various Windows Mobile handsets.

I wonder if the interviewee still has their job?

I'm struggling to comment. WTF, double the price, less thana quater of the fuctionality. Poor guy couldn't defend the product, he was in an awkward position and back pedalled throughout. I suspect it's die in 3 motnhs, it's time M$ had a massive failure.

Doh!
